Birmingham Walk and 5K for Autism

Presented by Autism Society of Alabama at Avondale Park

The Autism Society of Alabama is proud of its annual Walk for Autism event as locations are set for 13 cities around the state in April, which is Autism Awareness Month. Each Walk location is unique to its city but feature many of the same components including a resource fair, games and activities for the kids.

The Birmingham Walk for Autism is a time for awareness and acceptance of those on the autism spectrum, which currently affects over 70,000 families in our state. Since the Walk for Autism began over a decade ago, the Autism Society of Alabama has raised funds have been returned to the community in the form of education, advocacy and support. Individuals on the spectrum, their families and communities throughout Alabama have benefited from the generosity of our many donors and supporters. We celebrate them as we look forward to taking our event to even greater heights!
