The 9th annual Sozo Children Run for a Reason is planned for Saturday, April 18th 2020. The theme of this event is “Run for a Reason.”  Proceeds raised will be used to support the mission of Sozo Children in Uganda, Africa.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
This race will be a 5K through the heart of Avondale. Starting at Sozo Trading Co. and ending at Avondale Brewery! Join us for a special performance by the Sozo Children\’s Choir from Uganda following the awards at Avondale Brewery.

This event is a fun, family friendly experience; runners & walkers of all ages, strollers and dogs are welcome.

Awards: Hard-carved wood medals from Uganda will be given for the following male/female age groups:
Top 3 Overall  Male/Female
12 & under   13-19
20-29   30-39
40-49   50-59
60-69     70+

AFTER PARTY – Join us for the Run For A Reason official after party at Avondale Brewery following the race. Whether you are celebrating crossing the finish line or coming out for a fun afternoon in support of a great cause, everyone is sure to have a blast! There will be a special performance by the Sozo Children’s Choir from Uganda immediately following the awards ceremony.
