5th Annual Habitat Dragon Boat Festival

Presented by Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity at Riverwalk Park

The 5th Annual Habitat Dragon Boat Festival is Sat. Aug. 20, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Admission is FREE, parking is FREE. Come watch teams of 20 paddlers race up the Coosa River in 46′ long Chinese dragon boats. There are two divisions. Prizes awarded for top three in both divisions – gold, silver, bronze paddles and personal medals. Food vendors, entertainment, music, drummer’s parade, and kid’s activities and crafts all day. There are bleaches for viewing the races and a large picnic tent to relax and enjoy lunch from the local vendors. Funds raised will support the Habitat for Humanity housing ministry in Etowah County.
