The Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders (GBAHB) will host its 60th annual Parade of Homes April 22- 24 and April 29- May 1 throughout the Birmingham metropolitan area. The Parade is a great way for potential new homebuyers and dreamers alike to sample the latest in construction and design trends. With new home sales continuing to rise, the Parade also serves as an opportunity for builders to connect with prospective buyers.

Returning for the fifth year is the popular Ideal Home. The Ideal Home serves as a showcase house, featuring the latest in design trends, decor, technology and sustainability. The 2016 Ideal Home is in Altadena Park in Vestavia and is located at 3559 Altadena Park Lane.

In addition to the more than 50 featured homes, this year the Parade will feature 17 villages. A village is a new home community with at least one entered home. This allows builders and developers to highlight amenities of their communities, such as neighborhood pools, walking trails and playgrounds.

The Parade is free and open to the general public between the hours of 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
