Unity Market moves to a monthly schedule for November thru February, expanding their hours and welcoming several artists and makers to the vendor lineup, plus live music!
NOVEMBER 7th – 3-7pm
DECEMBER 5th – 3-7pm
JANUARY 2nd – 3-7pm
FEBRUARY 6th – 3-7pm
We started Birmingham’s cutest new market this summer (ok we might be biased!), hosting local farms and food businesses. Now we’re thrilled to be welcoming local artists and makers into the lineup, too! Please keep us in mind for your grocery and holiday shopping this year! In November, we’ll kick off our Winter Market schedule with monthly markets on the first Saturday of the month from November to February, and expanding our hours by one hour to 3-7pm. We’ll be keeping a fire going and hot chocolate and warm apple cider to keep you warm, and we’ll have food trucks and live music for your entertainment! You’ll be able to come during the daylight, stay for sunset, and then watch the market lights come up as the band starts playing!
We’re pleased to be bringing you some live, local music this winter! We’re hosting DuJour (@dujourmusic) at our November 7th market at 6pm, and Hollywood Horses at our December 5th market at 6pm! Come on by, and bring some dollars for the tip jar if you got em!
Check in on our Facebook (
) and Instagram (@unitymarketbham) pages for regular vendor updates and sneak peeks! We’re bringing you an amazing selection of food and arts vendors this winter. You’ll find food trucks, prepared foods, fresh produce, pastured meats, cheeses, raw honey, fresh baked breads and pastries, decadent desserts, candles, jewelry, ceramic pottery, teas, tinctures, salves, natural home products, doggie treats, holistic wellness goodies, one of a kind works of art, and more – all grown or crafted by hand and all LOCAL, baby! Here’s a few of the vendors we’ll be hosting this winter:
*Kind Harvest Farms
*Wild Violet Gardens
*Coosa Fancy Heritage Farm
*Forgotten Ways Farm
*Tay Thai Street Food
*Eastaboga Bee Company
*Encore the Dessert Bar
*Mud Mama Designs
*Lotus Moon Studios
*Field Culture Compost
*Steel City Naturals
*April Bonasera Design
*Keep checking back in because we’ll be adding more throughout the week, and we’ll post some sneak preview photos, too!
We are preparing bundles featuring different goodies from some of our vendors each week, put together in a cute lil picnic basket for you! Pop over to the lawn or the park right across the street to enjoy, or gift one this holiday season to someone you love – these make amazingly adorable gifts! Check in for updates on weekly basket contents. Proceeds support our vendors plus community event programming like Lectures on the Lawn and live, local music acts!
*glass bottles (in a container we can keep) for Wild Violet Gardens’ upcycled structure building
*nonperishable foods, and any produce that you know you won’t be able to get to in time – we will donate to the Free Farm Stand in Fountain Heights
LECTURES ON THE LAWN:
This is a weekly community event sponsored by Unity Market that starts (almost) every Saturday at 7pm. We invite a new speaker each time – someone who is doing big and beautiful things in our community – to come out and share their insight with a small, distanced group on blankets and chairs on the lawn. Check out our Facebook / Instagram pages for updates on speakers!
Thank you so much for being a part of our vision to support people and businesses that are doing good work in our community and to build up our local economy! Shop local, buy real food from farmers, support artists, and lettuce grow together in UNITY!
