Trails at Tannehill Forever Wild Ride

The Trails at Tannehill, a partner of Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park, offers visitors a chance to get up close with its stabled horses and take a ride at the 700 acre site which includes a recently acquired pasture. Joey West who is the manager at the Trails says “We’re excited ‘Forever Wild’ the state’s land preservation program has been finalized and that this will be the first time in 30 years people can saddle up and ride inside Tannehill Park on specific dates. Campgrounds are now available for visitors to bring their own horses.

For $25 per person per hour, visitors can come by the stables at Tannehill and take a guided horseback ride on the weekends. In addition to guided tours, horseback riding lessons are offered. Kids can enjoy pony rides guided by a walker as well.

Admission Info

Admission is $5 per head and $5 per horse. Please fill out a Registration and Coggins form at the Country Store. The Country Store will have a map of the park and a map of Forever Wild. Rides are ONLY Saturday and Sunday.
