Introduction to Meditation Practices

Presented by Villager Yoga at Villager Yoga

Led by Darlene Waters

Meditation can be much more than just sitting quietly, there can be many levels, practices and hidden gems. This course will be filled with a sampling of what can lie ahead if you wish to explore aspects beyond just the benefits of relaxation and reducing stress.

In this in depth course you will learn meditation practices considered to be more of Eastern and Taoist origins. Some of the different meditation practices you will learn are seated meditation, standing moving meditations, meditating in formations, and meditating with a partner.

You will receive an introduction to Chi Kung (Qigong) and participate in fun class exercises which demonstrate energy as tangible and something you can literally feel, think Kung Fu Panda 3. From there you will learn how to sense energy and use it for healing and balancing. I am dating myself, but picture Mr. Miagi in the original Karate Kid movie.

Most people are not aware that one of the byproducts of meditation is increasing your intuition. You will use meditation as a doorway to access your own personal inner psychic.

This course is the foundation for understanding more esoteric practices later if you decide to delve deeper, and includes a lot of information.

Darlene has over 20 years experience in teaching these practices. Most of these techniques are ancient and only handed down from teacher to student.
