Clinical risk factors have a low predictive value on suicide. There is an increasing interest in finding potential biological factors and any specific markers of suicide vulnerability. Emerging evidence suggests that neurobiological factors are not only critical in providing risk factors but also provide a positive approach to develop more effective treatment and prevention strategies.
Join us as UAB’s Dr. Yogesh Dhivehi (Ph.D., Director, Translational Research, UAB Mood Disorder Program) discusses the most recent findings in suicide neurobiology and focuses on how these findings can be transformed into potential therapeutic applications.
