Enjoy the Kentucky Derby at the only place in Birmingham where you can watch “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports” AND place bets on some of the world’s best race horses. Located at 1000 John Rogers Drive off Derby Parkway, the Birmingham Race Course will host a “Watch, Wager & Win” viewing party for the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7.

Gamblers of all skill levels are invited to place bets, but must be over 19 years old to enter. Admission is free, and gates will open at 9 a.m. with simulcast racing from Churchill Downs starting at 9:30 a.m. The main event is set for 5:34 p.m. post time, and live greyhound racing with a 2 p.m. matinee, plus following The Derby at 7:25 p.m. Earl’s Sports Bar and Grill will be open all day.

Big payouts are expected since the Derby favorite won three consecutive years and the favorite has never won four consecutive years. In addition, this year there is no runaway favorite as American Pharaoh was last year.
