UA’s Tree Farm Project and Building a World Class University Campus

Presented by OLLI at Bryant Conference Center

Duane Lamb

Col. Lamb will share about UA’s Tree Farm Project. It began last year when the fallen seeds from grand magnolias on the Bryce Campus, the President’s Mansion, and Gorgas House were collected. Lamb stated, “Cultivating the seedlings and cuttings within our own greenhouse is cost-effective for our institution as well as helps build camaraderie among different department employees who are making our tree farm a reality.” Throughout history, trees have often been considered sacred and honorable. Our presenter feels that way about trees, but especially about the trees on The University of Alabama campus. Col. Duane Lamb, UA associate VP for Facilities and Grounds is passionate about his job.
