Buster Britton Memorial Triathlon

Buster Britton Memorial Triathlon

Presented by Team Magic at Oak Mountain State Park

As one of the longest-running triathlons in the country, set in beautiful Oak Mountain State Park, the race honors the life of Buster Britton – one of the Birmingham area’s original triathletes that lost his life in a fun run after completing the Hawaii Ironman only a short time earlier. Buster was a true inspiration for triathletes as the sport began to take shape in Alabama.
Team Magic was able to successfully host this event in 2020 following the necessary protocol for a safe race environment. We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our racers, staff, partners, and all event support, and as such, will be following practices in line with industry recommendations and host community Covid-19 standards. We are moving forward with an Olympic distance option for 2021, so pick the distance that suits you.
