Who are they, what did they do for our country, what do we owe them?

These are the everyday heroes who are in our families, churches, and communities. They live modest lives, most feel they did nothing extraordinary, and they seek no special recognition for doing their duty. Yet each of them was prepared to give their all.

Every one of these heroes – these veterans – is someone’s child. They came from all walks of life to answer our country’s call. They served in war and peace; lives were changed. They became a band of brothers, and sisters. They all have stories that must be told.

We have a full day of activities planned, including historical vignettes, musical salutes, reenactments, games, ceremonies, a Gold Star Salute to the Fallen, and a wreath laying at the Veterans Shrine.
