Southeastern Outings Dayhike along Brushy Creek an...

Presented by Southeastern Outings at The Hayden/Corner Park and Ride is meeting place

The hike will be 6 miles long and is rated moderate.  We will follow a beautiful trail which runs from the Brushy Creek Bridge along the creek.  We usually observe about nine waterfalls on this route.  We should also see lovely cliffs, hemlock trees, canyons and perhaps some additional waterfalls.  If we have time, we may also visit the nearby natural bridge (not the one at the town of Natural Bridge) in the Natural Bridge Recreation Area of the Bankhead National Forest.

Carefully-supervised, well-behaved children age 8 and older welcome.  Note-To view photos of what we will see on this trip, please click on these links:

NO DOGS OR SMOKING ALLOWED, PLEASE, ON ANY SOUTHEASTERN OUTINGS EVENTS.

The organization currently has about 280 members.  We have scheduled seventy-nine fun events for you to enjoy in calendar year 2021.  This is an average of SEVEN fun outdoor events per month.  We enjoy the outdoors in all seasons throughout the year.

SEO does not charge for participation in any of its outings.  You do not have to be a member to participate in one or two SEO activities.  Dues are only $10 per family or household.  Please contact Dan Frederick, President, 205-631-4680, or seoutings@bellsouth.net for more information and to obtain three free monthly newsletters with membership application and a complete description of all our outdoor events.
