In consideration of the rising rates of COVID infections throughout the nation, BCRI will be expanding and adjusting our free programming for MLK Free Day.
We’ll maintain our existing timed ticketing and operational structure as well as our museum features on January 17th, 2022. Our historic galleries will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. While tickets will be free, they must be pre-reserved in order to limit attendance and promote physical social distancing.
To continue our special activities, we’ve programmed a day of virtual presentations. This will help to keep our community safe and provide an avenue for engaging programming for our audience as we commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Watch safely from home or come and tour our permanent exhibitions as they come to life with West African drumming, artifacts from our archives, The Carlton Reese Choir, and more. Either way, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the life & legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!
