Indian Summer Jars will bring their bold, earthy rhythms to highlight CHIPS in the Moonlight, a benefit for the CHIPS Center at Children’s of Alabama set for Friday, July 22 at Moonlight on the Mountain (585 Shades Crest Rd., Birmingham 35226.) Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

In addition to the musical entertainment, there will be door prizes, games and a silent auction. Advance tickets are $15, or $20 at the door. Kids 10 and under receive free admission. CHIPS in the Moonlight is an annual event that helps fund the programs and services of the CHIPS Center at Children’s, a place of help and healing for victims of child abuse. The CHIPS staff is a team of specially trained clinical counselors, doctors, social workers, and nurses who work with law enforcement, the Department of Human Resources and child advocacy center representatives to provide the best possible care for children and families traumatized by physical and/or sexual abuse.
