French Film Fest: Hiroshima Mon Amour

French Film Fest: Hiroshima Mon Amour

Presented by Emmet O'Neal Library at Unknown

Join us at Emmet O’Neal Library each month this summer for a classic French film.

A cornerstone of the French New Wave, the first feature from Alain Resnais is one of the most influential films of all time. A French actress (Emmanuella Riva) and a Japanese architect (Eiji Okada) engage in a brief, intense affair in postwar Hiroshima, their consuming mutual fascination impelling them to exorcise their own scarred memories of love and suffering.

Not rated but intended for adult audiences. Standing Room Only is a new program series for ages 21+ only from the Emmet O’Neal Library that will feature free entertaining events designed with young adults in their 20’s and 30’s in mind.  Standing Room Only is sponsored by the Young Friends Group of the Emmet O’Neal Library.
