A perennial favorite, the opera features instantly recognizable and soaring melodies, elevating the emotional impact of the tragic love story. The production will showcase a cast of top emerging talent in a fully-staged production at the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater.
Featuring Naguanda Nobles, Dane Suarez, Alex DeSocio, Victoria Lawal, Alan Higgs, Nicholas Ward, Won Cho, members of the Opera Birmingham Chorus and Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Conducted by Cris Frisco, and directed by Candace Evans.
Sung in Italian with projected English translations. Performance length is approximately two hours with one intermission.
