Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens Holiday Open House

Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens Holiday Open House

Presented by Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens at Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens

Christmas at Arlington, Arlington’s gift to the city of Birmingham, held the first weekend in December, (December 3-4) is an annual event that kicks off the holiday season.  Arlington, Birmingham’s beautiful Greek Revival 1840s Museum House, is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The reprint of Arlington:  Birmingham’s Historic House and a color booklet with a room by room description are available in the gift shop.  Arlington is opened throughout the year for visitors, tours, luncheons, and events.

Visitors are invited to ‘step back in time’ as local decorators adorn rooms of the museum in seasonal period décor.  Some of Birmingham’s finest decorators will make the past come alive in the rooms of Arlington with creative holiday decorations of Christmas Past.

Holiday tunes will fill the air as visitors tour the historic mansion, kitchen, and gardens.  Guests are invited to enjoy holiday music, entertainment, festivities, and light refreshments served in the Garden Room.  The old country kitchen will feature photos and visits with Santa, children’s activities, and warm cookies.
