NASA's Journey to Mars Continues

Presented by First Lutheran Church at Caldwell Park

A Journey to Mars continues on Saturday, July 23rd at Caldwell Park as we get our children ready to go back to school.  This event features a variety of activities for children ages 5 – 12 entering kindergarten or elementary school grades 1 – 6. This journey continues to explore science, technology, engineering, art & math using the NASA developed curriculum. Kids who attend this event will receive a package of supplies to launch their journey to learning. All classroom supplies will be donated to our schools in our neighborhood.

As a part of this event, First Lutheran Church is collecting materials to donate to our local elementary schools.  Many of you know teachers who reach into their own pockets to fund necessary resources for their classrooms. And likewise, many families struggle to afford some of the most basic supplies for their students to start to school. During the month of July we are collecting items from the following school supply list.  These donations will benefit our local students and their schools.

Donations will be accepted at the office of First Lutheran Church, 2507 Highland Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205. Office hours are 9 am – 1 pm on Monday – Friday. A collection box will be available for after hours.  For more information, please email secretary@FirstLutheranBham.org or call 933-0380.
