Prepare for the glitz, glamour, and “Red Carpet” experience of a Hollywood award show. “Last year’s inaugural production sold out. It was such a national hit, it is an honor to come back and do it bigger and better,” says AMA Creator Zeus. “Record Label Executives, Label Owners, Management Companies, A&R Representatives, Politicians, Socialites and other High Profile people descended on Alabama to see the ‘Best’ and look for talent. This year already confirmed are the same level of attendees and more,” concludes Zeus. Come witness Alabama’s “Elite” independent artist as the AMA celebrates and honors the “Brightest” in R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel, Country, and Pop. This year’s show will be hosted by multi-award winner D.T. Owens (Comic View’s “New Jack” Comedian, winner of “Miller Lite’s Comedy Competition” with Kevin Hart, and contestant on “NBC’S Stand Up for Diversity”), to name a few. AMA 2016 promises to engage fans with unforgettable performances, iconic tributes, and special appearances by Celebrity/High Profile Talents. Alabama has always had a deep and rich musical heritage that has given the world impeccable vocalists, instrumentalists, and composers whom are influential in the music industry such as: Blues legends Dinah Washington and W.C. Handy. Country Music Pioneer Hank Williams Sr. Legendary Motown artist The Temptation Members Eddie Kendricks and Melvin Franklin. American Idol Winners Rueben Studdard, Taylor Hicks and Bo Bice, and father of “Rock and Roll’’ himself Sam Phillips. This is why in 2012 Zeus (creator of the AMA’s) saw the need and founded the Alabama Music Awards Organization. The sole purpose of this organization is to give recognition to Alabama’s vast array of upcoming entertainers, musicians, and journalists on a local, regional, and national level. The AMA’s is the first of its kind to be hosted by the state of Alabama. The AMA’s priority is to support and nourish those in the musical communities in the state of Alabama pursuing greatness.
