Canterbury will celebrate a very special “Lunar Communion” during worship on Sunday, July 24. Retired astronaut, Dr. Jan Davis, will be there to commemorate a private historic moment on July 20, 1969 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin offered a prayer and shared communion shortly after landing on the surface of the moon. Dr. Davis will tell everyone more about it, as well as her experiences of viewing earth from the vantage point of the Space Shuttle.
