Junk Jam!

Junk Jam!

Presented by Women Who Code Birmingham at Red Mountain Makers

Bring your laptop! Tonight, we’ll be having a mondo-destructo party with great tunes, tools, workbenches and plenty of electronics to take apart.

Your host – Shirley Hicks

We’ll be doing this at the Red Mountain Makers space in Woodlawn using their Circuits Lab and front room workspaces.

The objective to understand the hardware we work with – and to mess around with repurposing it. Understanding how computer hardware works makes us better programmers. If you’ve wanted to begin experimenting with desoldering, and parts recovery, this is a great time – and place – to try things out.
