OLLI of Greater Birmingham presents the Siege of Leningrad with Peter Kirchikov, Ukraine native, historian, and author.  Learn how the Russians held off the Nazis for 900 days in the longest and bloodiest battle of World War II.  Hitler planned to destroy all lives in Leningrad through heavy bombings, air raids, deprivation, and starvation.  His forces did kill more that 650,000 people.
