You’re Invited to celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day at the Birmingham Zoo on Saturday, September 3 from 10am-1pm. Vultures are an ecologically vital group of birds that face a range of threats in many areas that they occur. Populations of many species are under pressure and some species are facing extinction. The Birmingham Zoo currently has 3 of the world’s 23 species of vultures. Enjoy this exciting day and learn how you can help vultures and about the important role vultures play in our ecosystem.
