Julia Lucille – Dark-folk from Austin TX

At the age of twenty-nine, singer/songwriter, Julia Lucille has established a disposition and sense of self-awareness that has become a rarity in the oft subconsciously self-absorbed music industry. Moving from the sleepy California town she grew up in, Lucille ventured to the over-stimulating Portland, Oregon for college, then to the completely contrasting isolated Moon Phase Ranch in Dripping Springs, where she found it easy to focus her energy on music and personal healing. Here she worked with Cross Record at Dandy Sounds to record an album, and also began her deeply personal and stripped down project ‘Bedroom Tapes.’

Julia now resides in Austin, TX, where she has become submerged in the booming, and frequently competitive art community. Here she has spent four years delving even further into her music progression and gaining the respect of her peers, being a part of festivals like SXSW, and sharing bills with the likes of Mitski and Jillian Rae.

Carly Black /A Touch of Black – Rock from Birmingham AL

Carly Black began sharing her music around Birmingham, AL about 5 or 6 years ago. Carly’s sound and style have been compared to the likes of Janis Joplin, Jewel and Stevie Nicks. Carly delivers soulful, indie-inspired, blues-infused rock vocals that are powerful and lyrics that are deep and profound. Carly has been performing since a very early age. Through the years, Carly has been involved in several collaborations. She is currently working on solo/duo projects as well as developing her new band, A Touch of Black. The core element of ATOB is Carly and her lead guitarist, Bobby Abernathy. Bobby grew up in Tennessee and has been playing the guitar since he could hold one. Carly met Bobby about a year or so ago in Pell City, AL. From then on they have been perfecting Carly’s original music and also writing new songs together and creating a new sound. This new sound is developing as quickly as the band itself! The band now includes Tim Kelly on bass and George Griffin on drums. Most all members are multi-instrumentalists! The recording process for Carly and her self-titled CD is now complete. The official CD Release date was March 2, 2013!!! The project was produced by Ben Trexel and his company, Tangent Music Group. A Touch Of Black is really coming together and looks so forward to entertaining you in the future!
