Casting and Metal Work

Casting and Metal Work

at Unknown

Casting goes as far back in time as the Bronze Age and not much has changed. Metal is heated to melting temperature then poured into molds containing negatives of what was to be cast. For ages jewelry was made this very way. In this class students will follow this tradition in the completion of a ring. Students will design a ring then make a two part mold so that it can be cast in silver. Students will then proceed with the cleaning and the polishing of their piece. No previous knowledge is necessary to take this class.

All equipment and materials are provided in the cost, students will have bottle water for refreshments. All payments are to be made prior to class or upon arrival, seats are limited, reserve your seat by emailing
