Sursum Corda is a select vocal ensemble based in Birmingham, AL. Founded in 2006 and conducted by Lester Seigel, Sursum Corda is a mixed professional choral ensemble, dedicated to presenting great classics of sacred music from Jewish and Christian traditions. Presents concerts regionally. The hroup has performed at the national conference of the American Choral Directors Association in Chicago, throughout the state and elsewhere in the Southeast. Its debut compact disc, "Illumine Our Hearts," was released by MSR Classics, and received favorable reviews nationally and internationally.
