The Norwood Resource Center (NRC) is a community-based 501(c)3 organization founded in 2001 as a grassroots initiative with the mission to provide educational activities and services that improve the life conditions in the area. NRC provides information about and referrals to local service agencies, assistance in accessing those services, informative workshops and valuable free programs such as computer classes and income tax preparation. The services of the center are designed to promote a healthy and productive community. NRC serves the residents of the Birmingham Northside communities as well as residents from throughout the Greater Birmingham area, with its impact touching all age ranges.
