Concordia Club, or more formally, Concordia Beneficial Society, was founded in Birmingham in 1886, shortly after the City’s own founding.

Concordia was begun as a club for families of German ancestry to come together and enjoy good fellowship, celebrate traditional holidays, have a good beer, promote leadership and citizenship, sing together, enjoy life, and to help support the families of those members who died in the prime of their working life.

Our charter has expanded over the years to include members from many immigrant groups and includes weekly ballroom dances as well as many other activities.

Concordia Club is an excellent venue for dances, concerts, chamber music, birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, business meetings, theater practice space, and dinner parties. A kitchen is available to your caterer. There are plenty of ice, banquet tables and chairs, all in a mirrored ballroom with hardwood floor and stage.
