Girls on the Run is an after school character development program that serves girls in third through fifth grade by creatively integrating running with a curriculum that inspires girls to remain confident and make healthy life choices. Girls on the Run Birmingham Metro serves Jefferson, St. Clair, and Shelby Counties.  The two-season program takes place in the fall and spring, and each season ends with a 5K run to celebrate the girls’ personal growth and accomplishments.
