Alabama Launchpad is a program of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. The EDPA Foundation partners with seven research universities in Alabama to promote and reward high-growth, innovative start-ups from across the state. The program is for new, innovative ventures in the seed or early-growth stages and for existing businesses moving into a new high-growth market. Participants have unique opportunities to access sound business advice and to critical start-up and development capital. Alabama Launchpad gives early-stage start-ups momentum to take an idea from concept to reality. University partners include:

Through a proof of concept competition, a seed stage competition, and a technology database, Alabama Launchpad provides a framework for individuals in the state to locate innovations, develop their business ideas, and connect to a network of experts, investors, and service providers that can increase the odds of success. Alabama Launchpad provides unique opportunities to obtain startup capital, receive expert guidance, and establish working relationships within the business, academic, and investment capital communities.
