The Committee to Protect the Homeless (CPH) is a grassroots organization created for the homeless by the homeless to bring justice and dignity to the homeless and indigent in Metropolitan Birmingham.

We strive to replace dignity within the homeless and indigent community by building relationships with various agencies to assist with referrals for drug rehabilitation, N/A and A/A programs, medical assistance, vision and prescription assistance, lost or misplaced identification assistance, housing placement, as well as assistance with legal issues.
We also have invested heavily in creating a viable network to assist those who are preparing to get, or have obtained housing by coordinating services with HUD, JCCEO, and Shelter Plus Care. And function as an advocacy agent and promoter of the 10 Year Plan to end chronic homelessness in the Birmingham area.
