Bessemer Recreation Center Memberships
The Community Center is the perfect place to spend time with your friends and family all year long! Select from the Membership Plus Plan for all the recreational areas and classes including pool and instructional classes or Basic Membership which gives you access to all fitness equipment, tracks, recreational swim and gymnasium.
Groups, Home Schools & Private Rentals
The Recreation Center is available for groups, overnight and after-hours private rentals. Choose from the pool, gym or Multi-Purpose Room. The Activities Rooms and meeting rooms can be added. Group Rates
Advance reservations are required for all groups and payment must be made with one transaction. Chaperones are free and are based on a 1/10 ratio of adult/youth.

Bessemer Recreation Meeting Rooms

From seminars and meetings to birthday parties, you’ll want to schedule your next event here! The room sizes vary to accommodate 15-40 people, depending on room set up.
Audiovisual equipment is available to rent.

Decorations: You may bring your own decorations. Tape/adhesives, Mylar confetti
and glitter are prohibited. Use of these materials may result in additional charges for any damages.

Food/Beverage: No alcohol is allowed on premises in the meeting/party rooms or Multi-Purpose Room.
Security: All rentals require security (Bessemer Police Officer) is included in the rental fee.
Hours Rooms are available:
Monday–Thursday …………………………..6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday &Saturday…………………………….8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Each room is a 6 hour rental with 1 hour of setup time, 4 hours of event time and
one hour to break down.

Multi-Purpose Room

The Banquet Room serves as a premier banquet and meeting facility seating up to 100 people, formal seating or 160 theater style. The warm, attractive decor is inviting for all occasions. This room is sure to meet your needs whether it is for a wedding, anniversary, banquet, company picnic or holiday party, training seminars, conferences, and tradeshows or craft sales. Call 205-424-4060 to process a room rental request.

Table Set-Up: Tables are 72” rounds and can seat up to 10 people. Layout is
confirmed during the reservation process.

Decorations: You are welcome to bring in your own decorations. Ask to see our photo book for ideas.

Food/Beverage: Renters can provide a caterer of their choice. No alcohol is allowed on the premises. A security guard is included with rental. Call 424-4060 for details.
