Be Kind

This mural was created by E.L. Chisolm who is dedicated to expressing the forward movement in Black communitites in Birmingham through her work. This particular mural was inspired from the statement “Don’t take my kindness for weakness.” She believes this statement is associated with feelings of betrayal and hate that cause us to reject being kind in fear of “getting stepped on.” Chisolm believes that everyone can stand to be more kind and she hopes to return “strength and respect back to kindess.”
