Time to be True

This mural came about as apart of the HBCU SpringComing 2022 edition festival. Three artists that are either Alabama-based or HBCU alumni banded together to create three murals with the theme being “The Overcoming.” E.L. Chisolm, one of the three artists, said “These murals are to display the forward movement of black people.” This particular mural was created by Avery Harden and is an artistic blend of the present and the future which is extremely significant to Birmingham due to its history.
