Clay Senior Activity Center

The Clay Senior Activity Center, under the direction of Linda Love, is recognized regionally for its outstanding program that includes a wide variety of activities, entertainment and trips. The center provides a place where any senior adult can find a friend, a listening ear and a warm hug.Because of its favorable reputation, the center draws seniors from many surrounding communities. It also provides a wealth of knowledge and support for the many concerns of today’s seniors, including dementia caregiver support.

We serve a hot lunch each day for only $1. Anyone age 60 or older can join. Average attendance is 30. The center offers ClassTran transportation to the center for current members but is not able to offer this to new members at this time.

Some come to learn more about computers, some come to socialize, and some come to beat their peers at a game of cards or Bingo. A pool table is at the center, along with some excercise equipment. Thanks to the tireless work of Linda Love, the seniors at the center and Jefferson County Commission, recently the center added more space to accomodate the growing crowd who attend every day.
