 Littlehouse Galleries is a premiere fine art gallery in Homewood, Alabama, offering a variety of art – ranging from traditional to contemporary in both two dimensional and three dimensional media. Our art is either one of a kind original work or signed original limited edition pieces, and is well suited for the discriminating collector in both corporate and residential environments.

Founded in 1960 by Gene Smith, Littlehouse Galleries is one of the most established and respected galleries in the Southeast – currently celebrating our fifth decade of service. The business was created to provide quality art and framing services in a time when there were few options for either in Alabama’s largest city.

The original name "Littlehouse on Linden" was derived from the original gallery location, a "little house" on Linden Avenue in Homewood, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. Over the years, the gallery grew, a new facility was built adjacent to the original "little house", and the business became known as Littlehouse Galleries. Littlehouse Galleries is proud to be one of the South’s largest, representing over 100 local and regional artists in our 12,000 square foot facility.

When Gene Smith passed away in 2005, the gallery transitioned in ownership and management to the founders two sons, Foster Smith and Steven Smith, and his business partner Mack Cumuze. Our Gallery Manager, Michael Bradley, has been with the gallery over twenty years, and our Senior Framing Supervisor Richard Dowd has been at Littlehouse almost 30 years. Additional staff at Littlehouse includes Daniel Lord – specializing in art restoration work, and Todd Brownstein – our newest employee, specializing in both art sales and framing. Combined, we provide a level of experience and expertise few galleries can match.
