Metro Bar

The Metro was the first bar to open with the rebirth of historic downtown Birmingham. Located on 2nd Avenue North in the heart of the loft district The Metro remains a favorite watering hole for the locals with a casual vibe that can’t be imitated. The Metro thrives on diversity. Everyone and everything except bad manners are welcome.

You’ll find plenty to keep you entertained while hanging out with your friends. We have dart boards and video games in our game room, the best juke box in Birmingham, wide screen TV’s with your favorite sports, free WiFi, or maybe you would prefer to sit on our sidewalk patio with your favorite drink and enjoy the sounds of the city.

Our daily happy hour specials help pass the time while waiting for traffic to ease, plus The Metro has live music every weekend which keeps the party going all night long! We also have special weeknight events such as “Trivia Night” and “Open Mic Night” which lets everyone get in on the act!

There is plenty of free parking in our lighted parking lot directly across the street, and The Metro is located inside the CAP District so you can always count on a safe and secure night out.
