The Garage Cafe

The Garage is a Birmingham institution. There is literally not another bar like it anywhere else in the city, and possibly the world. Where else can you find a small bar that doesn’t accept credit cards (make sure to bring cash or be ready to use the ATM that is at the bar) and serves sandwiches that is attached to a spooky/awesome old antique store/garage? The Garage is not your corner bar in so many ways, but the atmosphere – the hey how you doing, pull up a bar stool mentality – is a constant. The patio makes this bar, so on beautiful fall, spring and summer days you might be hard pressed to find a table
