Join BSMC in a short weekend program in a exploration and introduction to Japanese Flower Arranging.
Birmingham Shambhala is pleased to host Ms. Brooke Pohl for a fun and creative weekend. Ms. Pohl has been teaching ikebana for over 20 years.
Ikebana is a meditative and contemplative form of flower arranging that has been practiced for hundreds of years through Southeast Asia. With theĀ guidance of a few rules, one can let the creative spirit play with the delicate forms and beautiful colors of flowers and branches.
This workshop is designed to be two complete sessions – one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Both days are available to all and for a reduced price.
All materials and flowers are provided. Certain materials will be offered for purchase if you wish to continue this practice at home.
Registration and pre-payment is necessary to supply adequate materials.
