Visitors can observe the care of Alabama native wild bird patients in the nurseries, solarium and raptor flight cages via camera monitors or one-way glass viewing windows.
Open to visitors 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, as long as the Park is open to visitors. One never knows from one day to the next who the patients will be. Free after paid admission to Oak Mountain State Park. Start and end dates for baby bird season are dependent on Mother Nature.
Admission to AWC is always free; however, there is an entrance fee to Oak Mountain State Park: adults (age 12+) $5; children 4 to 11 $2 (children 3 and under free); senior citizens 62+ $2.
