Spotted salamanders come out only once a year, on a warm rainy night. The rest of the year, they live in the ground in burrows. They live in a rich forest habitat most of their lives, but need a wetland pool to mate and breed in.
3:00 – Festival begins inside with Salamanders and activities. Also, displays with Fish, Frogs, Turtles and Crayfish – Free arts & crafts for kids to make. Fossils, Microscopes, Recycling, Fishing, Southern trees, Carnivorous plants, and much more.

A guided nature walk will place at 2:00 p.m. at Patriot Park in front of the Senior Center.
The festival is free and is for all ages. It begins at 3:00 p.m. inside the Senior Center.
