2nd Annual Black Maternal Health Week Cookout

Every day, women around the world are welcoming new babies into their lives. It’s an incredibly special and joyful time for these expectant mothers as they embrace the journey of motherhood. While many aspects of motherhood come naturally, there are also important things to learn and understand.

With the concerning rates of maternal and infant mortality among women and infants of color, there is a growing need for education and awareness. That’s why it’s more important than ever for women to empower themselves with knowledge and support. A maternal and infant advocate, a doula or childbirth educator, can provide valuable information and guidance for every step of the pregnancy journey.

Join us on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Bessemer Recreation Center for a special event hosted by Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial.
