An in person walking tour that highlights the history of local mining, iron making companies, and scenic views.

Once the bed of Birmingham’s Mineral Railroad, The Kiwanis Vulcan Trail is now a lovely 2.2 mile trail that was updated by Freshwater Land Trust in 2018 and serves as the center of their Red Rock Trail System. On this tour, you will learn about the history of local mining and iron making companies, as well as identify plant life while taking in beautiful views of the valley below.
