Presented by Klein Arts and Culture at The Klein-Wallace House, Harpersville AL

May 20 2023
Designing for Dignity: Convening Conversations on the Art of Racial Healing in the Rural South

Join Elizabeth and Salaam at the Wallace House to hear about the project and process, including the development of a collaborative community sculpture using the House’s original columns as material.

Artist Elizabeth M. Webb, in collaboration with poet Salaam Green, is working with descendants of those enslaved at the Wallace House, as well as the larger Harpersville descendant community, in order to create a space of healing, community building, and acknowledgement.
