Earth Science Week

Since 1998, scientists have celebrated Earth Science week. This time is used to educate the public about the earth sciences and to equip them with appreciation, understanding, and stewardship.

For this 20th celebration of Earth Science Week, the American Geosciences Institute has declared the theme to be “Earth as Inspiration,” and is emphasizing artistic expression as a powerful tool for geoscience education.
