As a dancer and dance teacher, know it’s rare in the arts community to work at a place that offers benefits such as retirement plans. And that a lot of the time we don’t even think about planning for our financial futures, maybe because we don’t understand exactly what “financial planning” is, or how it even works for the long term. It’s actually a lot like training to become a dancer – there are the basics that we repeat over and over and over no matter how advanced we get. Money works the same way.
