First Light 2023 Gala -- Light Up the Night!

For the first time in four years, First Light will have a live gala—themed “Light Up the Night”—on Saturday, May 6th at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center. Proceeds will support First Light’s emergency shelter for homeless women and their children as well as supportive housing programs for particularly vulnerable individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness.

There will be great food catered by Café Iz, live music by The Notables, silent and live auctions, and other entertaining ways to have fun while supporting First Light’s mission. Two-time Emmy award-winning sports broadcaster Lauren Sisler will emcee and Kent Stanford will be the auctioneer.

First Light’s mission is to offer those experiencing homelessness stable emergency shelter, access to housing programs, and the resources for them to achieve their full potential.
