Since December 1983, First Light has been a beacon of hope for homeless women in Greater Birmingham. What started as a small initiative in a church basement, sparked by compassion for women sleeping on church steps, has blossomed into a vital institution. With a heartwarming history, including a move to a refurbished historic hotel post-fire in 2000, First Light remains dedicated to providing shelter and support.
