Float Your Boat Festival

The Friends of Turkey Creek Nature Preserve announces the seventh annual Float Your Boat Festival on Saturday, July 16, 2016.  Float Your Boat offers a fun-filled day at the Preserve that features a 5k trail run, balsa wood boat races, the City of Pinson’s “Beat the Heat” ice cream give-away, swimming and a fun zone for kids.  Last year more than 2,000 people attended the event, and this year promises to be even more successful and fun for the entire family.  The festivities will kick off with a trail run at 8:00 am, followed by the family fun zone opening at 10:00 am and boat races starting at noon. Admission is free and all donations or other proceeds from the Festival benefit TCNP’s environmental education, youth outreach, and habitat preservation programs.
